I haven't been alive very long,
But in my time I've been blessed enough to
Know and love many wonderful people.

I don't know all the factors that draw me to my friends,
But the one sure trait the people I love have in common
Is a terrifically wicked sense of humor.

The memories and stories I have of the silly capers
We've pulled will keep me warm in my old age.

There've been some really good times.

Sometimes, just as I'm falling asleep,
In the deep darkness of my late night, empty bedroom,
I run through memories and shared experiences.

It takes that bitter edge off of the loneliness
That everyone must feel.

For all my whining and hermitude,
I'd be a miserable, vacuous wretch
Without the love I've been filled & surrounded with.

I wish you all could see yourselves through my eyes




And understand firsthand what cherished folks y'all are.

Words fall so short.
Thanks for immeasurably brightening my life.
I hope I can return the favor.
